The Japanese Particle を
The particle を is an object
marker. It follows the direct object in a sentence. A direct object is an
object, either animate or inanimate objects, on which the verb is acting, or it
directly receives the action of the verb. We can use the question ‘who or
what’ to find the direct object in a sentence.
The particle を is read as ‘o’ even though it is spelled as ‘wo’. It is the same as reading the particle は. When use as a particle, は is read
as ‘wa’.
The sentence structure of a Japanese sentence is ‘Subject-Object-Verb’, where
the particle を comes after the Object. Most of the time subject is
omitted in a sentence.
Now, let’s
check some examples:

(パンを食べます。)
