Word of the week!
Let's start my new project which is weekly review of Japanese (Spanish) words so we won't forget about.
GAIRAIGO means Loan words or borrowed words in Japanese. It is mostly written in Katakana characters.
For the Kanji words,
外来語
外 is the Kanji for Outside.
来 is the Kanji for 'to come'.
語 is the Kanji for Language.
Literally means that it is a language that comes from the outside.
Example of Loan words:
Smartphone - スマホ
Television - テレビ
